20 Year Fixed Program

Short term ARMs (adjustable rate mortgages) are loan programs where the interest rate is fixed for a set number of years. This gives the homeowner time, depending on their personal goals and the market, to either refinance the mortgage to a fixed rate or allow the rate to adjust. These loans are idea if there are set plans to be executed within that set, fixed time period. Let's say, you have a job that will have you relocating inside of 5 years, then a 5/1 product maybe ideal if the rate is lower than a regular 30 year fixed.
